A Legacy of Sustainability

Experience a stay that transcends the ordinary, where luxury meets environmental awareness. Our unwavering commitment to preservation and social responsibility is reflected in every detail, creating a haven of beauty and well-being that honors nature and inspires a more sustainable future.

Wildlife and Nature Observation:

Sustainable Practice: Careful and sustainable practices allow our guests to observe the rich Atlantic Forest fauna, including birds, howler monkeys, otters, and anteaters.

Our Philosophy:

Parador Lumiar is dedicated to environmental preservation. From eco-friendly construction practices to responsible management of natural resources, every aspect of our operation is designed to minimize our impact and promote sustainability.

Eco-Conscious Construction:

Sustainable Materials: Eco-bricks and reclaimed wood were used in construction, ensuring minimal environmental impact.

Natural Light: Large glass panels maximize natural light and reduce the need for artificial lighting.

Energy Efficiency: Outdoor lighting sensors save energy by turning lights on only when necessary.

Water Management: Gravity-fed water distribution prevents waste and optimizes water usage.

Sustainable Energy:

LED Lighting: We use low-consumption LED lamps throughout the hotel.

Solar Energy: Solar panels provide water heating and electricity generation, with 124 panels in operation.

Process Optimization: Washing, drying, and ironing machines follow scheduled times, and air-drying is used whenever possible.

Waste Management and Recycling:

Creative Reuse: Eggshells are turned into compost, cooking oil becomes soap, and recyclables generate extra income for our staff.

Composting: Organic waste is composted to fertilize our gardens and vegetable plots.

Efficient Equipment: We prefer equipment certified with energy efficiency (Procel).

Biodiversity Promotion:

Native Reforestation: Replanting local species helps restore and protect native forest.

Respect for Wildlife: During events, such as New Year celebrations, fireworks are prohibited to avoid disturbing local wildlife.
